In 2008 Harrison constructed a 4,500- tonne pyramid grain store at Ashby-cum-Fenby. The project was subject to a compressed schedule but Harrison completed the scheme on-time whilst maintaining exacting standards. In 2013 Grainsby Farms appointed Harrison to build an additional 3,700-tonne store at Waithe House, near Grainsby, and obtain the necessary planning permission prior to work commencing.
Richard Haigh, Director at Grainsby Farms Ltd, said: “Harrison have completed a number of Grainsby Farms Ltd build projects to an excellent standard. We therefore had confidence in their ability and technical expertise to deliver a design solution that would provide the structural strength required for such a large bulk store. Furthermore they operated quickly and safely within a tight schedule between the emptying and demolition of the old storage building and the arrival of the new harvest. Despite a pressured situation they delivered their usual high quality with the friendly and approachable support which we have come to expect.”
